Family law consultations with Morneau Family Law & Legal Innovation

  • In the early stages of separation and feeling overwhelmed, fearful and emotional?
  • Do you feel vulnerable, anxious, angry, devastated, sad and like you have no control over your future?

I am here to help. I offer you a steady, hopeful approach to help you keep calm, focus and see that things can and will get better.

Using the skills that I have developed over a career of working with families in transition, I create a confidential space for your consultation to share your circumstances and feelings, without judgment.

I take an approach that is trauma-aware, trauma-responsive and emotionally intelligent. I create a space for you to ask questions that are important to you. I actively listen and help you choose a path that puts your values at the forefront. My focus is always on you and your family.

Individual Consultations

Individual consultations are a private, confidential meeting where we discuss your circumstances, including:

  • What is important to you?
  • What worries you and causes you concern?
  • What are your objectives?
  • What are your values?

While I charge a flat fee for this consultation, I give you both the time and space that you need to share. Then, I take a day or two and send you a consultation report with legal information and process design recommendations and provide any follow-up you may require.

Early Neutral Consultations

Early neutral consultations are for you and your partner at the start of your journey. Together, we all sit down and discuss legal information and process design. I help you both understand your options before you commit to a specific process, empowering you with focused information before you spend thousands of dollars.

Family law, separation and children

For 17 years, I worked extensively within the family justice system in court – and I didn’t like what I saw. The process had a major impact on families in the midst of major transition and upheaval, often with little regard for those caught in the middle of it all: their children.

For most families like yours, there is a much better way to move through this transition. Consensual dispute resolution gives you the time and space to listen, communicate, and solve your own differences, both now and in the future.

Contact me to arrange your initial consultation and start the conversation about this modern and empathetic approach to separation, divorce, parenting and other family law matters.
