Speaking and Keynotes

Engage, Challenge, Evolve: My Speaking Philosophy

My professional journey has been unique and continues to unfurl. I embrace all that each day has to teach and I have to learn. And, to do so, we have to allow for vulnerability rather than perfection.

My journey has also taught me a lot about the language of conflict and how each of us plays a role. Now, more than ever, our words matter. While my experience is in family law, I am able to speak more broadly about approaches to conflict and navigating conflict.

My hope is always to start a conversation that will:

  • Evolve and help guide us to a better future
  • Challenge while maintaining dignity and respect
  • Ask “Why?” or “Why not?”
  • Encourage and hold space for others to share their wisdom in addition to sharing mine

I enjoy speaking and want to share that space to create thought, discussion, creativity, innovation and evolution.

Morneau Family Law & Legal Innovation

Conflict definition, management, and resolution

I have spent a career “in” and surrounded by conflict. I have watched the development of new “processes” meant to change the conflict narrative.

However, if we don’t attempt to recognize, define (with a focus to re-define) and understand conflict better, then creating a “more amicable” or “less adversarial” process is nothing more than putting lipstick on the proverbial pig!

I offer insightful, innovative and engaging talks and lectures that cover the antecedents and behaviours of conflict, including:

  • Understanding and defining conflict
    Behaviour in conflict
  • The physiology of conflict
  • The neurology of conflict
  • Empowerment in conflict
  • Understanding yourself in conflict
  • Understand others in conflict
  • Disruption of conflict
  • How to chart and map conflict differently

Speaker for seminars, conferences, lectures and more

I enjoy sharing knowledge gained throughout the course of my career and have been fortunate to have been asked to do so. I enjoy creating space to share and incubate ideas. I believe that no one person has all the answers.

However, collectively, we hold the keys to the future. From career to conflict to collaboration, I will share the lessons and wisdom I have gained and the frontier that lies ahead of us.
